What's your favorite thing about serving FCA?
My favorite thing about serving FCA is the relationships built through time spent serving with others. Meeting colleagues from all different organizations has allowed me to learn and grow as an individual and communications professional.
Which Annual Conference location has been your favorite and why?
Washington, D.C. Visiting the Newseum (unfortunately now closed) was a huge highlight. It was also my first Annual Conference and introduction to FCA.
Who is your professional mentor or role model? What's the most valuable thing you've learned from him or her?
Kaya Miller, AOII's Executive Director. Kaya was my first supervisor out of college when I was an Educational Leadership Consultant for AOII and has since taught me many, many things. The most valuable thing I've learned from Kaya is vulnerability. It's okay not to have the answer to every question right away, but always be ready to listen (and listen again), share your insight, and be willing to start an open dialogue whatever the situation at hand.
What is your dream job (please exclude your current role)?
Working on the communications/brand management team at Dr Pepper.
What's your favorite personality quiz and which type are you?
Enneagram, I’m a 1 (The Perfectionist) through and through...
If you had an unlimited budget, where would you host a brainstorming session?
A lively restaurant with great food, drinks, service, and an unlimited tab (dive bar, sushi restaurant, epic pizza joint, etc.). I feel that so many ideas and “a-ha” moments come from genuine conversations and shared experiences that at this time I don't really have a physical location to pinpoint.
What's your MLB walk-out song?
I Love It by Icona Pop
If your personality was a color, what would it be?
Lemon - bright and pairs well with most other colors.
What are the last three emoji you used?
